13th – 15th April, 2012

 

  • Guided walks of the Wicklow Hills (include A, B and C looped trails)
  • Guided walks will include Lugnaquilla, Leinster’s highest Mountain
  • BONUS WALK – Tinahely Night Walk in aid of Wicklow Cardiac First Responders – FRIDAY APRIL 13TH at 8pm, Market Square, Tinahely

National Walk Day, Ballymoney

National Walk Day

Join the Ballymoney Shore Loop

January 14th, 2012

  • Walk starts 10am sharp in Ballymoney Beach Car Park  -  end with prize giving 12 noon

  • Distance: ˜5km, with option of ˜2km short cut

  • Brisk shore walk with some climbing:  return via woods and road, or shore

  • Stops on route for extra challenge Nature discover tasks, (& chance for more leisurely walkers to catch up)

  • Registration is not essential but helpful for Organisers

  • Wear light layers & anorak, wellies or shoes with good grip

  • In case of heavy rain or very stormy seas the walk will be put back to Sunday 15th at the same time

This is one of 7 walks in Co. Wexford on NATIONAL WALK DAY and part of OPERATION TRANSFORMATION

North Wexford Historical Society

Saturday 1st October: Field Trip of North Wexford, visiting Tubberneering Graveyard, Ferns Castle and Craanford Mill.

Cost 10 euro incl. tea and a bun.

Saturday 15th October: Walking tour of Gorey

South East Coastal Walks

Coastal Walks every Wednesday and Saturday in the South East

  • Start at 10:00am in Lemon Grove Coffee Shop in Drinagh Garden Centre with coffee / pastries
  • Bus to and from walk
  • Guided walk (1.5 hr relaxed walking)
  • Lunch
  • Back to Drinagh about 3:00pm - (free car park)

Locations for walk – Carnsore / to St. Helens, Kilmore Quay, Hook / Duncannon
