The family run cinema group promises that as well as the latest movie releases, shown with the latest digital technology, with 3D capability in every screen, they will also show live opera, concerts, recorded theatrical productions and much more. 'We will be able to take live satellite feeds,' said Graham Spurling. 'We can show operas, ballets, plays. Our first live opera in Gorey will be on July 1 next, when it's beamed in high definition straight into Gorey from Barcelona.' He added that the industry is developing rapidly, and it's expected the Superbowl will be shown live in 3D early next year. Live concerts from major recording artists at venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York are also possibilities. Graham said that the service offered in Gorey will be very similar to that in their Dungarvan Cinema, but with the same decor and the same top quality seating as in their cinema in Dundrum, which is recognised as one of the country's top cinemas.
